SALVI AURORA
Working on:
Henson-Conant- Nightingale This is as lovely on an acoustic harp as it is on the electric and I’ve heard some great piano versions as well. Tender, bittersweet, hypnotic.
Tchaikovsky- Nutcracker Cadenza (You need the music equivalent of time lapse photography to hear any cadenza from me thus far but it’s not for lack of effort…) If you’re going to try it buy the Katherine Honey arrangement because she’s written out the score so that the notes “go in the right direction” unlike Mr T “s version. Those of you who play will know what I mean by that…
Debussy- Premiere Arabesque (arranged by the incomparable Suzanne Balderston)
Delibes- Flower Duet from Lakme (arranged by Sylvia Woods)
Sting- Fields of Gold (arranged by David Ice)
Jimmy Page & Robert Plant- Stairway to Heaven (arranged by David Ice) Click for Janne- Minke’s version if you don’t believe this dog eared old song will sound great on the harp
Pedal Drill patterns compiled by Denise Grupp-Verbon. This is a fabulous workout. I never learned to drive a stickshift but now that I’m working with 7 pedals and 3 positions for each in what seems like endless combinations– I should probably give it a try.
Jimmy Page an Robert Plant Stairway to Heaven (arranged by Maryjean Zarick before all the rest) This is the BEST lever harp arrangement ever!
